TerraTight Mexico help centre
Straight answers about choosing, applying and buying TerraTight products for projects in Mexico.
It depends on what matters most to you. Adoquín and stamped concrete are hard-wearing but shed water, so puddles form during the rainy season and weeds grow in the joints. A resin bound surface is seamless and permeable: water drains straight through, there are no joints for weeds, and it shows the natural colour of the stone. It is laid cold, without heavy machinery.
Yes. TerraTight Ease is made for loose stones up to about 5 mm, sand, bark and mulch, so fine tezontle and pea gravel work well. Larger stones of 5 to 20 mm need extra coats and a longer cure. For a surface you will walk or drive on every day, a resin bound system with washed stone is the better choice.
Choose TerraTight PU (PU-211) for decorative walkways, patios and pool surrounds where you want the stone colour to stay vivid in strong sun. Choose TerraTight Epoxy (EP-231) for driveways, vehicle areas, seafront paths and submerged areas, where bonding strength matters most.
The Transparent Waterproof Sealant bonds to concrete, brick, tile, stone, wood and metal, and seals hairline cracks and joints with a clear, flexible film. It is the right choice when you want to keep the roof or terrace finish visible. If your azotea already has an old coating that is peeling or has large cracks, send us photos first so we can advise on preparation.
In most of Mexico, the dry months before the rainy season are ideal for waterproofing and outdoor surfaces. During the rains you can still work if you get about 24 hours without water after application; in central Mexico storms usually arrive in the afternoon, so start early in the day.
Yes. TerraTight Ease bonds best when relative humidity is below 70% and the temperature is above 20°C. On the Caribbean and Pacific coasts, choose a dry spell and avoid early mornings with dew. Two-component resins must stay completely dry until they cure, so check the forecast before mixing.
Heat shortens the working time of two-component resins. Keep the resin and the stones in the shade, cool them before mixing, and lay early in the morning. The Waterproof Sealant should be applied between 5°C and 40°C. Once cured, the products do not soften in summer heat.
PU resin bound floors can be walked on after one day and Epoxy floors after two days. Gravel treated with TerraTight Ease needs 24 hours without water and reaches full cure at 72 hours. For the Waterproof Sealant, allow 24 hours before water contact and 48 hours before heavy foot traffic.
Undiluted, a 2 L bottle covers about 4 m² and a 5 L bottle about 10 m², which is what we recommend for paths. Diluted 1:2 with water for decorative beds, the same bottles cover up to 12 m² and 20 m².
Per coat, the 2 L size covers roughly 8 to 12 m² and the 15 L bucket roughly 60 to 90 m², depending on how porous the surface is. Two coats are recommended, so a 10 m² balcony usually needs two 2 L bottles, and a 40 m² azotea one 15 L bucket.

TerraTight Ease and the Waterproof Sealant are water-based and non-toxic once cured. Keep children and pets off the area until curing finishes, and wear gloves and eye protection while applying any construction chemical.
Sweep and rinse with a hose. Resin bound floors can be pressure-washed. On glued gravel, use low pressure (below about 70 bar) and keep the nozzle at least 30 cm away. Worn spots can be refreshed by re-applying the product to that area only.
